Legal

Terms of service

The practical terms covering quotations, bookings, access, payment and liability.

Business confirmation required: sections marked below need Chris to confirm his own cancellation notice, deposit and payment terms before these terms are treated as final.

About these terms

These terms apply to work carried out by Jeynes Cleans Auto Detailing, an owner-operated mobile detailing business run by Chris Jeynes from Kempsey, Worcestershire. Booking an appointment means accepting them.

Quotations

Quotations are based on the vehicle details and condition described to us, including any photographs supplied. Prices shown on the website are starting prices for the packages described.

If the vehicle is found to be in a significantly different condition on arrival, Chris will discuss the options with you before continuing, which may include an adjusted price, a reduced scope of work or rescheduling.

Bookings

An appointment is confirmed once a date, time and location are agreed. Please make sure someone is available to give access to the vehicle at the agreed time.

Access and working conditions

As a mobile service, we need safe and legal access to the vehicle with enough space to work around it. Where the work requires it, a water supply and mains electricity may be needed; tell Chris in advance if these are not available so alternatives can be arranged.

Work cannot be carried out where access is unsafe, obstructed, or where local restrictions prevent it.

Weather

Most work continues in ordinary British weather. Severe weather may require rescheduling, for safety and because certain products cannot be applied reliably in extreme conditions. Chris will contact you as early as possible if a booking needs to move.

Cancellations

If you need to cancel or move an appointment, please give as much notice as you reasonably can so the slot can be offered to someone else.

Business confirmation required: Chris should confirm the notice period expected and whether any cancellation charge or deposit applies.

Payment

Payment is due on completion of the work unless something different has been agreed in advance.

Business confirmation required: Chris should confirm the accepted payment methods and any deposit terms for larger bookings.

Existing damage and vehicle condition

Detailing improves the condition of a vehicle; it cannot repair it. Existing damage such as deep scratches, stone chips, dents, failing lacquer, cracked or worn trim, previous poor-quality repairs, ingrained staining and permanent odours may not be fully removable.

Where a defect cannot safely be improved, Chris will tell you rather than attempt work that risks making it worse. Pre-existing damage identified on arrival will be pointed out before work begins.

Belongings

Please remove personal belongings, valuables and loose items from the vehicle before your appointment. We cannot accept responsibility for items left in the vehicle.

Photography

Chris may photograph vehicles before, during and after work as a record and to show the standard of work, including on the website and social media. Tell Chris at the time of booking if you would prefer your vehicle not to be published.

Liability

Jeynes Cleans is fully insured. We take responsibility for loss or damage caused by our negligence in carrying out the work.

We are not responsible for faults or damage that existed before the appointment, for the failure of previously applied products or repairs, or for issues arising from defects the customer did not disclose.

Nothing in these terms limits liability where it cannot lawfully be limited.

Aftercare

Where protection has been applied, following the aftercare advice given is important to how the finish performs. Results depend on how the vehicle is used, washed and stored afterwards.

Complaints

If you are unhappy with any part of the work, contact Chris directly on 07598 056698 or at chris@jeynescleansautodetailing.co.uk as soon as possible so it can be looked at and put right where possible.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
