Who we are

Jeynes Cleans Auto Detailing is an owner-operated mobile vehicle detailing business run by Chris Jeynes, based in Kempsey, Worcestershire. Chris is responsible for the personal information handled by the business.

Information we collect

Quote and contact enquiries: your name, phone number, email address (if given), postcode, vehicle details, the services you are interested in, vehicle condition and anything you write in the message field.

Messages: the content of WhatsApp messages, text messages, emails and phone conversations relating to your enquiry or booking.

Photographs: images of your vehicle that you send us, or that Chris takes while carrying out work.

Website usage: basic technical information such as pages visited, provided by any analytics used on the site.

How we use it

To reply to your enquiry, prepare a quote, arrange an appointment and carry out the work.

To keep a record of work carried out on your vehicle, so follow-up appointments can be quoted accurately.

To take payment and keep the business records required by law.

To improve the website and the services offered.

Legal basis

We handle your information because it is necessary to take steps at your request before entering into a contract, to perform that contract, to comply with legal obligations such as tax records, and for our legitimate interest in running and improving a small business.

WhatsApp and phone

If you contact us on WhatsApp, your message is also handled by WhatsApp under its own privacy terms. We use WhatsApp only to discuss enquiries, quotes and bookings. We do not add customers to marketing broadcast lists.

Photographs of your vehicle

Chris may photograph vehicles before, during and after work, both as a record of condition and to show the standard of work. Photographs may be shared on the website and on social media.

Number plates are obscured or cropped where reasonably practical. If you would prefer your vehicle not to be photographed or published, tell Chris at the time of booking and that will be respected.

Sharing your information

We do not sell your information. It may be shared with service providers who help run the business, such as the website host, email provider, messaging platform and accountant, and with anyone we are legally required to share it with.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not lead to a booking are kept only as long as they are useful, and then deleted. Records relating to completed work and payment are kept for as long as required for tax and accounting purposes.

Cookies and analytics

This website uses only what is needed to serve the pages, plus any analytics used to understand how the site is being used. Analytics data is aggregated and is not used to identify individual visitors. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time.

Your rights

You have the right to ask what personal information we hold about you, to have it corrected, to ask for it to be deleted where we are not required to keep it, to object to or restrict how we use it, and to ask for a copy of it.
