What a coating does
A hard, clear
layer of defence.
A ceramic coating bonds to the paint and sits between the finish and everything the road throws at it — traffic film, rain, road salt, fallout and general grime.
Water tends to bead and run off rather than sitting on the panel, contaminants find it harder to bond, and washing becomes noticeably quicker because dirt releases more easily.
Gloss usually improves too, largely because paint has to be prepared properly before a coating can be applied at all.
The process
Preparation is the job
A coating locks in whatever is underneath it, so most of the work happens long before the coating comes out of the bottle.

Wash and decontaminate
Everything bonded to the paint is removed first, because a coating seals in whatever is left behind.

Prepare the paint
The finish is assessed and machine polished where needed, so the coating goes over paint at its best.

Apply the coating
The coating is applied by hand, panel by panel, and levelled while it flashes off.

Cure and aftercare
The coating needs settled conditions to cure, and you get clear guidance on the first days afterwards.

Mobile application — weather matters
- Jeynes Cleans is a fully mobile service, so ceramic coating application is weather and location dependent.
- Coatings need suitable dry conditions to apply and cure, and will not be applied outdoors in unsuitable weather.
- If conditions on the day are not right, Chris will be in touch as early as possible and rearrange rather than compromise the finish.
- A coating makes washing easier — it does not replace washing. The vehicle still needs safe routine cleaning.
